The West Africa Association of customer service professionals (WAACSP) outlined a target of 200-500 certified CS trainers to populate the ECOWAS landscape within the next decade to make customer service education accessible and affordable across all sectors and value chain.

To this end, the quest to IDENTIFY, TRAIN and CERTIFY citizens into becoming accredited CS trainers for the 2024 Co hort of the WAACSP TRAINERS NETWORK (WTN) starts with this post.

Who can apply
The faculty have listed three (3) key criteria for persons interested in attending this program:

• Must be passionate about teaching and also passionate about customer service (should have an eye to identify poor and good service from afar).
• Should be an ECOWAS national.
• Must have been in the customer service, HR or Learning & Development (L&D) space for no less than tour (4) years.

The Program

The Certified Trainers program is a six to eight weeks online Train-The-Trainers (TTT) class that will equip successfully selected applicants who meet the criteria to be trained on the art of customer service education delivery pattern which will cover:

• CS curriculum development, design, analyze, implement and execute.

Timeline/Sequence:

• Application portal opens December 5, 2023.
• Portal closes February 4, 2024.
• Interview of all applicants: February 10-11 and 17-18, 2024.
• Result of outcome of interview and release of accepted applications : February 19-22, 2024.
• Admittance and onboarding of successful applicants: February 24-25, 2024.
• Closed class group for all selected participants for the Six weeks online class starts: March 02 - ends: April 07, 2024.
• Certification assessment: April 13-14 and April 20-21, 2024.
• Certification result release May 1-5, 2024.

Please note:
All activities are only on weekends for those dates that falls on weekdays are information based activity and  as such sent to participants via email or WhatsApp.

Program fee and outlay

Participants who completes the whole process and are certified should make a total fee payment of $150 however fee are progressive and pegged per level as listed below:

 Application fee: $20

 If after interview and applicant is selected for the TTT program, then enters the next stage;

- 6 weeks TTT class fee: $30

After the TTT comes the certification and if successful with the certification; the now certified coach pays the certification/license fee.

- Certification/License fee: $100 (It’s a one off license/practice fee).

With the WAACSP program fee denominated in USD, the association each year pegs it USD rate to the various member country’s local currency.
